Women and security. Contemporary approaches and issues

The article discusses the contrasts between the traditional conception on security and feminist viewpoints on the issue. It presents the traditional realist viewpoint on security and discusses the representation of women in state security structures as well as their representation in international organizations. It briefly presents feminist criticisms of liberal origin with respect to the lack of equal participation and representation in these power structures that affect everyone regardless of gender.
